Larne FC: Three cars destroyed in arson attack at club’s ground

The attack took place in the Inver Road area in the early hours of Friday

THREE cars have been destroyed in an overnight arson attack on the grounds of Larne Football Club.

A PSNI spokesperson said they were alerted to the blaze on the Inver Road by the Northern Ireland Fire & Rescue Service at 1.25am on Friday morning.

“Officers attended the scene and were advised that ignition was believed to have been deliberate,” they said

“We are investigating this as arson, and would to anyone with information to contact us on 101, quoting reference number 60 of September 27.”

Information can also be reported anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

Reports that the cars belonged to staff members at the club have not been confirmed, and Larne FC has been contacted for a response.
