CAN YOU DANCE?

:: Lisburn will host the UK's premier touring dance convention Can You Dance? (CYD?) when it makes its Northern Ireland debut at the Eikon Centre on Sunday November 12, with 2,000 people in attendance.

Local dancers can look forward to over 30 workshops held by leading dancers and choreographers in a range of dancing styles.

CYD? is a ground-breaking dance convention company founded in 2011 by industry professionals Matt Flint and Tom Shilcock.

Matt is a creative director and choreographer for TV, film, and theatre, known for shows like Strictly Come Dancing and Ant & Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway.

Tom, a professional dancer and choreographer, has worked with international artists like Rita Ora, Take That, and Jason Derulo. CYD? conventions are internationally recognised as the largest touring dance events, consistently providing new opportunities for aspiring dancers.

Matt Flint said: “We can’t wait to hold CYD? in Northern Ireland. Bringing the dance community together and providing new exciting opportunities and experiences is what we do best. Over the last few months, we have spent time with some of the dance schools across the province and the talent is incredible.

“At the convention, dancers can look forward to a positive and friendly platform where they can take classes with top industry professionals. The response has been incredible, with many local dance schools organising a day of it for their students. We only have a limited number of tickets remaining so I would encourage people to buy theirs soon to avoid disappointment.”

BIG MARKETING MEET UP

:: Marketing professionals in Northern Ireland are gearing up for the highly anticipated Big Marketing Meet Up which returns on November 14 at W5 in Titanic Quarter.

The one-day event promises to empower passionate marketers with fresh insights, interactive sessions, and expert knowledge.

With a diverse lineup of 15 presenters, 10 key presentations, five bite-size sessions, and a special Lego serious play workshop, the event is set to be a stimulating day of marketing inspiration.

Big Marketing Meet-Up founder Treena Clarke said the success of this year's meet-up in May proved there was a demand for an event that provided keynote speakers and serious discussion amongst professionals in a fun environment.

"The feedback from May showed that there was so much enthusiasm for a programme that will deliver what marketers need. Our professional environment is changing so rapidly that it is clear everyone needs to stay up-to-date with the challenges and opportunities they present," she said.

Announced as the first three speakers are Peter Craven, creative director of Blue Sky Video Marketing; Niraj Kapur, managing director of Everybody Works In Sales; and Andi Jarvis, founder of Eximo Marketing.

The Big Marketing Meet-Up (for more details and to secure tickets go to bmmubelfast.com) has been organised to make sure that it is balanced between presenters and the people delivering their programmes day and daily.
