AS the All-Ireland Senior Football Championship begins its crescendo, make sure you don’t miss any of the action from Croke park on TV this weekend.
On Saturday, Armagh will take on Roscommon in the first game of the weekend.
Group-topping Armagh will hoping for a strong performance to take them into their first All-Ireland semi-final since 2005.
That said, it was back in 1991 when Roscommon last made it to the final-four.
A more attacking style has brought the Rossies success over two other Ulster teams in the championship , and Davy Burke will he looking to make it a third this weekend.
Later in the day, All-Ireland champions Dublin will take on Galway.
While Dublin were pushed by Mayo in their final round-robin game, they will be hoping it’s plain sailing this weekend as they look to win their eighth All-Ireland in the last 11 years.
Galway will need to pull off their first Championship against the Dubs since 1934 All-Ireland final if they wish to make the final-four.
And, with the Tribesmen’s star forward Shane Walsh a doubt for the weekend, it could be a big ask for Pádraic Joyce’s men.
Both of Saturday’s Senior Football Championship action can be watched live on GAAGO.
Also on Saturday, the Minor Hurling Championship final takes place between Kilkenny and Tipperary.
Tipperary have won the title more recently, in 2022 compared to Kilkenny’s 2014 victory.
However, neither Kilkenny or Tipperary, the respective Leinster and Munster champions, have had a straight forward All-Ireland campaign. So, it will surely be an exciting and emotional final.
All of the final action will be live on TG4.
On Sunday, Louth, in their first ever All-Ireland quarter-final, will face Donegal.
It’s will be the Wee County’s first ever All-Ireland quarter-final, in what has been an impressive campaign for Louth who got the better of Cork for the first time since 1957 to reach the last eight.
However, Jim McGuinness’s men are the hot favourites to make the semi-final, a feat they last achieved in 2014.
After this, Kerry will take on Derry.
The fixture will be a repeat of last season’s semi-final, and Kingdom triumphed on that occasion. On top of that, Kerry are the only side with a 100 percent championship record this season.
That said, Mickey Harte be looking want to redeem his first season in charge of the Oak Leafers and the team will not be ready to go down without a fight.
