That was the final game of Colm ‘Gooch’ Cooper’s career.
Errigal Ciarán defeated Kilcoo last Sunday to win the club’s first Ulster Club SFC title since 2002.
Tyrone great Peter Canavan was instrumental to that team and it is his sons, Ruairí and Darragh, who are central to this year’s team as they look to add to their club’s fortunes already this season.
The winner of this tie will play either Cuala of Dublin or Coolera-Strandhill of Sligo in the final at Croke Park.
That semi-final is fixed to take place at Kingspan Breffni in Cavan on Sunday, January 5, with throw-in scheduled for 1.30pm.
Both semi-finals will be shown on TG4.
