Donegal will look to get their first season back in Division One off to a good start against Kerry in Killarney.

The Tír Chonaill men will be grateful to have talisman Michael Murphy back after two years out having retired from inter-county duty in 2022.

Last year, Donegal stormed to the Division Two league title, just pipping eventual All-Ireland title winners Armagh to the league title.

The green and gold then adorned the Anglo-Celt Cup after they defeated Armagh again in Clones on penalties before falling to Galway in the All-Ireland semi-final.

Kerry will come into this season full of optimism as the FRC’s enhancements stand to suit the Kingdom’s style of play, with offensive weapons like Seán O’Shea and David Clifford set to take full advantage of the new rules.

The Kingdom last year missed out on the Division One final on head-to-head record, with Dublin defeating them, with the 2022 All-Ireland winners also losing to Derry and Galway along the way.

They then claimed their fourth Munster SFC title in a row before losing to eventual All-Ireland champions Armagh at the semi-final stage at Croke Park, not before knocking out Mickey Harte’s Derry at the quarter-final stages.
