The GAA’s Central Council will decide tomorrow if they are to approve the temporary use of Derry City Football Club to Derry GAA’s Owenbeg training facility.

The Oak Leaf county board have already given the go ahead for the League of Ireland side to train at the centre of excellence, with Derry City requiring a move as they seek to install three floodlit pitches at the Templemore Sports Complex.

It is anticipated that the motion will be passed, particularly as GAA president Jarlath Burns and those at a national level facilitated the move of Leinster Rugby to Croke Park to play their Investec Champions Cup semi-final against Northampton Saints last year.

Central Council also passed the motion for Connacht Rugby to play Munster at Mayo GAA’s McHale Park, set to be played at the end of March.

Further issues are also set to be made clear at HQ, with the FRC due to announce replacements for returning Donegal ace Michael Murphy as well as Tyrone’s bainisteoir Malachy O’Rourke.

The FRC’s new timing system - following suit with ladies’ football’s hooter - is set to be discussed at depth as plans will be ironed out as to how it is implemented.

Finally, the GPA’s Tom Parsons is set to give his review of the off-season.
