Ulster U20 Hurling Cup, round two

Down 3-20 Antrim 4-19

ANTRIM progressed to the final of the Ulster U20 Cup after a thrilling two-point win in Ballycran on Saturday.

Joseph McLaughlin again led the way for the Saffrons, scoring 1-7, while his brother Thomas, Fiontan Bradley and Calum McIlwaine grabbed the other goals

The Down goals came from Luke McCabe, Noah Rogers and Shea Pucci, thecoming with the last puck of the game. Cathal Coleman top-scored for them with 12 points, 10 from the dead ball.

Michael McShane’s side had led by five points at the interval, mainly thanks to two goals in the space of a minute.

Down will now travel to face Derry next week, with the winner renewing battle with Antrim in the final early next month.
