ROADSIDE retailer Applegreen has expanded its forecourt partnership with Marks & Spencer to two of its northern sites.

Applegreen’s ‘country-bound’ site on the M1 and its M2 site at Templepatrick are now stocking around 450 M&S Food products.

The link-up, which has already been rolled out across the Republic, involves fresh fruit, salads, sandwiches, ready meals, baked goods, flowers and confectionary.

The M&S products were introduced at Applegreen’s M1 southbound site last month, with the roll-out extended to Templepatrick this week.

Applegreen employs 269 people across its five sites in Northern Ireland.

“This investment in our Northern Ireland service areas highlights our commitment to providing high-quality food and hospitality for those traveling in the region,” said Caroline Cherington, regional operations director for Applegreen in the north.

“We are delighted to introduce M&S Food at Applegreen to Northern Ireland and bring our customers the best experience and brands on the road.”

Eddie Murphy, country director for M&S on the island added: “This partnership allows us to expand our reach and provide a convenient way for customers to pick up their M&S favourites on the go.

“We’re excited to become part of the Templepatrick community in time for Christmas, having opened in Lisburn southbound in November.

“As you drive home this festive season, be sure to stop by our new locations.”

M&S recently opened its 23rd standalone store in Northern Ireland at Belfast Grand Central Station.
