Two new fuel forecourt sites are being planned by the LCC Group.

Fuel giant LCC has progressed plans to invest £22 million in two new retail forecourt developments in Lurgan and Antrim.

The Co Tyrone group’s ‘Go’ forecourt brand is one of the fastest growing in the north.

The latest expansion involves a £14m investment on a site next to The Junction retail park in Antrim, while the family-run operation has acquired a site in Lurgan previously earmarked for a new Tim Hortons drive-through.

Panning approval was granted for the Canadian coffee chain’s new Co Armagh outlet 12 months ago.

LCC is now proposing a wider development on the Millennium Way site, next to Home Bargains, involving both a drive-through coffee outlet and a new fast-food restaurant, alongside ten new fuel pumps.

Drive through car wash and valet bays are also planned.

A report from planning consultants TSA estimate the value of the investment will be around £8m, with in the region of 125 jobs based on the site once it is fully operational.

A larger investment is planned in Antrim, close to the Enkalon Business Park, where a HGV bunkering facility is proposed as part of a larger unmanned fuel forecourt retail site.

A drive-through coffee pod is also proposed for the site, next to Asda.

TSA estimate around 120 jobs could be based at the development once it is fully operational.

Formerly known as the Lissan Coal Company, the LCC Group is one of the biggest family-owned businesses in the north.

Owned by the Loughran family, the group’s interests span oil, coal, electricity supply and the shipping the bulk materials worldwide.
