Police closed off a major part of the Antrim Road in Glengormley following a single-vehicle collision on Monday evening.
The road was closed from the Sandyknowes roundabout to the junction with the Hightown Road.
Motorists were advised to seek alternative routes. One person was taken to hospital.
Emergency services worked to free a pedestrian trapped under a vehicle, according to reports.
The NI Ambulance Service (NIAS) said one person was taken to hospital following the collision.
“The Northern Ireland Ambulance Service received a 999 call at 5.01pm on Monday January 13 following reports of a traffic incident involving a vehicle and a pedestrian, in the Antrim Road area of Glengormley,” a spokesperson said.
“NIAS despatched two Emergency Crews, a HART Crew, an Advanced Paramedic and an Ambulance Officer to the incident.
“Ambulance Control also tasked the HEMS crew to attend by response car.
“Following assessment and initial treatment at the scene, one patient was taken to RVH (Royal Victoria Hospital).”
