The family of Chloe Ferris have remembered the popular beautician a week after her funeral at her brother’s university graduation ceremony.
Christopher Ferris graduated this week with a Masters in Business at Queen’s University, and posed for a celebration picture with his parents, who carried a photo of his beloved sister Chloe.
She was laid to rest last Thursday - the day before what would have been her 25th birthday.
The west Belfast woman died after falling unconscious at Lux nightclub in Belfast’s Cathedral Quarter in the early hours of Sunday December 1.
Chloe was pronounced dead upon the arrival of emergency services, while another young woman who also fell unconscious at the scene was treated in hospital.
Two men arrested on suspicion of drugs-related offences by police investigating Chloe’s death have been released on bail.
Chloe’s father Declan has said his daughter died after taking drugs for the first time, and said the lives of his family and her wide circle of friends have been “destroyed”.
At her funeral in St Pauls’ Church, mourners heard of how close she was to her brother Christopher, “who she spent so much time with, chilling in the evening after work and eating their favourite salted chilli chicken and chips”.
Priest Fr Darren Brennan added: “The love they had for each other was immeasurable.”
