A man is due to appear before court charged with offences including dangerous driving and failing to stop for police.
The charges are linked to a report of an assault in the Listoder Park area of Saintfield in the early hours of Saturday.
The 30-year-old has been charged with offences including aggravated vehicle taking in which vehicle was driven dangerously, common assault, dangerous driving, failing to stop for police, possessing an article with a blade or point in a public place, and threats to damage property.
He is expected to appear before Downpatrick Magistrates Court on Monday, and all charges will be reviewed by the Public Prosecution Service.
