Manchester Airport said its teams are working to clear them “as quickly as possible” but had been hampered by “heavy snow” around 7am.
Birmingham Airport had suspended operations for several hours overnight “for snow clearing and safety reasons”, but said it was on schedule for “business as usual” on Sunday.
Bristol Airport reopened at about 11pm on Saturday, but warned of ongoing delays because aircraft were out of position following flight cancellations.
All the affected airports urged passengers to check with their airline for updates.

In an update on Sunday, the Met Office said icy conditions would continue across many parts of Northern Ireland until Monday.
The forecaster had warned on Saturday that up to 10cm of snow is possible in some places in the north, including the Mournes, Sperrins and Antrim Hills.
“Icy stretches are expected to develop across much of Northern Ireland during the early hours of Monday morning, following the clearance of earlier wet weather,” the forecaster said on Sunday.
“In addition, further wintry showers are likely to move in from the north during this period, increasing the potential for ice in places, and bringing the chance of 1-3 cm of snow in a few places, mainly in the west.”

Snow, ice, heavy rain and sleet swept over the island of Ireland with Met Eireann warning of further falls of snow later on Sunday.
Around 28,000 premises were without power amid the adverse weather conditions.
ESB Networks said the counties affected included Limerick, Tipperary, Kilkenny, Carlow, Laois and Wicklow.
“ESB Networks crews and partner contractors are deployed in all impacted areas and are restoring power where safe to do so,” it said in a statement.
“We acknowledge the disruption to family and commercial life this causes, and thank impacted customers for their patience as our crews work to safely restore power.”
