Man (49) arrested at Belfast Harbour on suspicion of possession of criminal property

A 49-year-old man has been was arrested by police on suspicion of being in possession of criminal property.

The man was detained in the Belfast Harbour area on Friday by detectives from the PSNI’s Organised Crime Unit, working alongside Belfast Harbour Police.

Police said a substantial quantity of cash was seized during the operation.

Detective Inspector Conor Sweeney said: “We would continue to appeal to anyone with information about criminal activity to call police on the non-emergency number 101″.
