Man charged in connection with road deaths of father and son in Co Armagh

The 32-year-old is due to appear before a court on Friday charged with dangerous driving causing death

A man has been charged with causing death by dangerous driving following a crash in Co Armagh that left a father and son dead and four others injured.

The 32-year-old is due to appear before Newry Magistrates Court on Friday charged also with causing grievous bodily injury by dangerous driving.

Peter Devlin (63) and and his 28-year-old son Loughlin died at the scene of the two-car collision outside the village of Killylea shortly after 1pm last Friday.

The father and son from the Tynan area of Armagh were buried on New Year’s Day.

Four other people, including a baby, were taken to hospital. One woman suffered serious injuries and was described on Thursday as being in a critical condition.
