Police attend sudden death of man in Belfast

POLICE have been called to the scene of a sudden death of a man in Belfast on Tuesday.

The incident was reported in the Distillery Street Area, close to the Westlink, and is not being treated as suspicious.

Volunteers from the Community Rescue Service in Belfast later confirmed they had been called out to a search for a missing person.

“We regret to inform you that this afternoon one of our teams located a body believed to be that of the missing person,” the group posted on social media.

“The management and volunteers of the Community Rescue Service extend our prayers and deepest sympathy to the family and friends of the deceased.”
