The family of a “high risk” missing person from Co Antrim say they will continue to search for their loved one as police carry out their investigation into his whereabouts.
Gary Patterson, from the Larne area, has not been seen since October, and the PSNI has issued an appeal for information on there whereabouts of the 45-year-old.
His brother Simon has spoken of his family’s ongoing search for “vulnerable” Gary posts to social media.
He said he and other relatives spent the days before Christmas searching streets both in Larne and in Belfast city centre after hearing of potential sightings, and have spoken with members of Belfast’s homeless community in a bid to see if anyone recognised him.
“Basically if we receive a lead we are trying our best to follow up. The police are working night and day in the background,” he wrote.

A PSNI spokesperson said he has been missing from Larne since around October 7th to the 10th.
“Anyone who may know of Gary’s whereabouts or anyone with any information that could assist in locating him, is asked to contact police on 101 quoting serial 530 of 20/12/24,” the spokesperson said.
