A teenage motorcyclist has been left in hospital with serious injuries after a hit-and-run crash in Lisburn on Saturday night.

The PSNI is appealing for witnesses and information following the crash at a junction off the Moira Road.

Police received a report that the motorcyclist was struck by a silver vehicle at around 6.20pm on Saturday, with the vehicle failing to stop.

“The motorcyclist, aged 18, sustained serious injuries and remains in hospital at this time,” a PSNI spokesperson said.

“We would appeal to anyone who was in the area at the time, who witnessed the collision or a silver vehicle being driven in a suspicious manner, to contact police on 101, quoting reference 1213 of 18/01/25.
