A 22-year-old man is in a critical condition after he was assaulted in a Co Derry town last week.
Detectives are appealing for information following the attack in Limavady in the early hours of last Saturday.
The injured man, who is in hospital in a critical condition, was attacked by another male around 3am on Irish Green Street in the town.
“Due to the injuries he sustained, he was taken to hospital for treatment and his condition is now critical,” the PSNI said.
The victim’s house keys and phone were also taken.
The police on Friday did not report any arrests, but want to speak to a 34-year-old in connection with the assault.
“Enquiries are continuing to establish the circumstances surrounding the incident and detectives wish to speak to a 34 year-old man in relation to the assault,” a spokesperson said, adding police are appealing to anyone with information to come forward.
