Adam Idah has been handed a first start for the Republic of Ireland since November 2021 as Stephen Kenny looks for a first win of their Euro 2024 qualifying campaign in Greece.

The Norwich striker, who spent six months on the sidelines after suffering a knee injury in February last year, is included along with Brighton teenager Evan Ferguson in one of four changes to the side which lost 1-0 to France in March.

Middlesbrough defender Darragh Lenihan starts at centre-back in an apparent 3-5-2 formation, with Dara O'Shea only fit enough to make the bench.

Gus Poyet, meanwhile, has made two changes from his side's win over Gibraltar, with former Celtic striker Giorgos Giakoumakis dropping to the bench. Kick off in Athens is at 19:45.

Ireland team to face Greece: Bazunu; Collins, Egan, Lenihan; Doherty, Molumby, Cullen, O'Dowda; Smallbone; Idah, Ferguson.
