CONOR McKenna and the Brisbane Lions take on the Sydney Swans in the AFL Grand Final in Melbourne as the Tyrone footballer looks to get his first winner’s medal.
The game is set to be held in the Melbourne Cricket Ground in front of 100,000 fans.
The two teams are hoping to redeem themselves after both losing in their last grand final appearances.
The Swans were flattened during their last grand final appearance in 2022, going down to Geelong by 81 points.
Meanwhile, McKenna’s Lions fell to Collingwood last year by four points in total.
This year, McKenna has had a turbulent year between injuries and being dropped to the Lion’s reserve side.
“I’d rather be playing (in the 22) but that’s my role at the moment,” McKenna explained.
“If I’m selected to play this week, I’d love to play from the start but if not, I’ll be the sub again and come on and have an impact like I’ve had for the past three weeks.
“That’s all I can do.”
