Armagh All-Ireland winners feature in Irish Open pro-am tournament

Rían O’Neill, Jarly Óg Burns and Kieran Donaghy will feature alongside other well-known names from Irish sport and further afield

THREE All-Ireland winners with Armagh will take part in the Irish Open pro-am tournament on Wednesday morning.

Rían O’Neill, Jarly Óg Burns and selector Kieran Donaghy join other well-known figures such as Ireland hockey player Katie Mullan, rugby stars Tommy Bowe and Rory Best, jockey AP McCoy, actor James Nesbitt and singer Shane Fillan.

The Armagh champions will be joined by Grant Forrest for the front nine and Sami Välimäki for holes 10 to 18.

Ryder Cup-winning Team Europe captain Luke Donald will take part in the tournament, along with European team-mate Nikola Højgaard and Team Ireland flag-bearer at the 2024 Paris Olympics, Shane Lowry.
