Ulster take on Cardiff in a bid to further their European dreams for this season and go two for two at the start of this Challenge Cup campaign.

The Ulstermen take on the Welsh side at the Cardiff Arms Park, in the shadow of the Principality Stadium, the home of Welsh rugby.

Cardiff struggled against Stade Français in their opening fixture, with the Parisiens coming out on top by 21 points at Stade Jean-Bouin.

The Blues are currently undergoing a transition after manager Matt Sherratt was recruited to the Wales set-up before the Autumn Nations Series as an attack coach.

The interim management team, headed up by forwards coach Cornie Van Zyl, have overseen wins against Edinburgh and Zebre in the United Rugby Championship before their loss in their Challenge Cup opener.

With this being the last European game of 2025 for both sides, and both teams entering intense local derby series in the URC, a win will go a long way toward closing out the year on a positive note.

The last time these two teams played each other was in April 2024, when the Ulstermen beat the Blues 19-17 in Belfast.
