AFTER an eventful 12 months in international rugby, the Six Nations is back for another instalment, with Ireland’s attempt at an unprecedented third successive Six Nations Championship title starting with a chance to correct last year’s sour note.

England travel to Dublin this Saturday looking to complete the double over the world number two side after their dramatic late victory over the Boys in Green at Twickenham last year when Marcus Smith’s drop goal separated the sides.

This time around, both sides have a different look about them. In Ireland’s case, a very different look about them, with a new coach and captain in Simon Easterby and Caelan Doris taking up those positions after Andy Farrell’s secondment as Lions head coach and Peter O’Mahony’s injury woes.

As for England, Mauro Itoje has taken the mantle of captain from Jamie George as he looks to prove himself in Steve Borthwick’s side ahead of the British and Irish Lions tour in Australia this summer.

This weekend, Ireland will be without a key member of their pack, with Tadhg Furlong suffering a recurrence of a calf strain and Connahct’s Jack Aungier being called up to the squad as a replacement, with Furlong leaving the squad’s prep camp in Portugal to be assessed on home turf.
